Pandora

Here's a link to amazing streaming music source. If you enter a band it creates a 'radio station' based on the style of music the band is, introducing you to all sorts of other music you'd have never otherwise heard of before.

The Ultimate Showdown!

Check this out! It's a bit long, but it's pretty funny.

ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN

Angry Alien Productions

I don't know if anyone has seen any of these (cause I hadn't), but they're great. Your favorite movies done in 30 seconds by bunnies, I like A Christmas Story.

Disney and Pixar Unite...

Holy crap, Disney bought Pixar. I am a little sad that it couldn't hold off from being purchased by them, but at the same time, it'll be good for Disney, which is good for me.

Insanely Twisted Shadow Puppets

Thanks to Buckley for sending me this link, but these are some great little anims that were created for a halloween weekend on Nickelodeon. Check em' out they're really cool.

And here is the creators website. He has some great art and designs, plus he worked on the best Starwars creation since the original trilogy, The Clone Wars!!

Birthdays are very fast and VERY dangerous!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEADLE!!!

I'm a huge jerk and forgot my friend Colins birthday so here is a song for Beadle!!
I'm the worst friend
My minds in a bend
I hope it won't end
the fact I'm your friend.

I feel like a jerk
I'm sitting at work
I remembered Capn' Kirk
And then a Big Turk

Then it hit me hard
That I'm a retard
My friendship is marred
I didn't send a card

Beadle I'm the worst
I sat and I cursed
I think I might burst
From being the worst

So I really hope
Your birthday was dope
Better than the new Pope
Or soap on a rope!

This is my song
It isn't very long
I feel very wrong
So lets go play some Pong...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Dino Reference

Some of you might know that I'm currently working on a project that involves dinosaurs, well my friend and co-worker Jeremy supplied us with a reference pic that will prove to be invaluable I'm sure.

Snowboard Art

As some of you know I've become addicted to this whole snowboarding buisness (I can't stop!), and recently I discovered that there is an art competition in April during the Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival to create art to be displayed on Skateboards and Snowboards. The entry fee is $30 for unlimited entries. So I'm going for it and you should too!!

It's through a website called www.originalsnowboardart.com. You can purchase skins for the decks of your snowboards here and submit your designs and sell them. So I think I'm going to enter the world of snowboard art. Even if I don't win anything, it'll be a fun excercise!

Adobe Lightroom

I just found out that Adobe has a Beta out for a program they are developing called Lightroom. It helps you alter and search through vast quantities of images easily (apparently). I haven't tried it out yet cause it's only for Mac at the moment, but the windows Beta release will be out soon. You can download it here, you just have to sign up for a Macromedia account. The beta license lasts till June too, so you can get a good feel for it.

There's also a video to show you the functionality

My First Painting...

This is the first painting I've really ever completed before, I did it with acrylic and I just got help from my Uncle to frame it(actually he did all the work, thanks Unc!) It was for my girlfriend Bonnie for christmas and the frame wasn't on it when I gave it to her(cause I can't cut 45 degree angles to save my soul, I'm blaming the tools). I had to steal it from her tonight to get the frame done, and it still needs to be stained so she won't get it back till at least Saturday! Sorry babe.

But I thought I'd share what it looks like, sorry if it's kinda dark, you'll have to talk to Bonnie to see the original.

A poem for Brooke

Apparently
Brook has an e

I forgot your e
Hopefully
You can forgive me.

Happy Birthday Buckley!!

It's Buckleys Birthday today!

Here's a birthday song just for you man,

Oooooooooh....

His name is Buckley
He drove a truckely
But now luckily
Its an Xtera (I can't make Buckley rhyme with Xtera please help)

He likes the Xtera
Don't let it scare ya
He's got lots of hair ya
It's so not fair ya.

His girlfriend's Brook
Brook rhmyes with Chinook
Which you can cook
But don't cook Brook

This song is dumb
Where is it from?
It's from out my bum
And its for you, chum!

Here's a picture him and his friend Bob Milne at a lawn party (That's Buckley on the right.)

HAHA! Stupid EA!

The NFL may have given it up, but the NHL won't be tempted by the EA creature!! YAY!
--

Nice Try EA, but the NHL Don't Play That Game.

In a recent story posted on eahockey.com, it seems that game giant Electronics Arts (EA) tried to secure exclusive rights to NHL hockey in much the same fashion as the company's exclusive deal with the NFL, which makes EA the only publisher allowed to make ‘NFL’ football games.
In fact, just before the end of the NHL lockout, EA skated circles around the NHL by first negotiating a deal with the NHLPA for exclusive rights to player names and likeness to the tune of $44.2 million over six years. In the process, the Player's Union managed to pigeonhole the majority of that revenue for itself.
Naturally, the powers that be in the NHL would have none of it, and countered by refusing to renew EA's current, non-exclusive NHL license unless EA agreed to let rival publisher Take-Two Games, parent company of 2K Games, in on the NHLPA action. Now back to the drawing board, all parties are involved in negotiating new deals for next year.
The story quotes Brian Jennings, group vice president, consumer products marketing at NHL Enterprises as saying, "I think choice is important. We were not comfortable going with an exclusive model." The story also underscores the fact that NHL executives are well aware that Take-Two's NHL hockey games have been better received than EA's. "We think having two highly motivated partners in this space, three with Sony [a third hockey game publisher], means more compelling games for our fans." Jennings said.
Steve Glickstein, vice president of licensing at Take-Two Interactive, echoed the sentiment. "The more people competing in the space, the better the games are," he said. "When you look at certain deals that are exclusive out there, the quality of game tends to come down."
